Last Updated: Tuesday, August 19, 2008 01:47 PMThe Mason County Disc Golf Organization is a group dedicated to promoting the sport of disc golf in Mason County, Michigan and the surrounding area. The main focus of the MCDGO for the past 13 years is the multi-course park located in Ludington Michigan, at the Mason County Park Picnic Area. There are three 24-hole courses named Beauty, Beast, and Goliath. These courses have been used for the Michigan State Finals for the past 10 years because they are among the best in the state. They were also built and paid for by disc golfers from all over the world. In the spring of 2006 MCDGO broke ground the new 18-hole championship caliber course called Leviathan. Located in the heart of Ludington on a 150 acre school forest it features Pro and Am tees, with the pro tees there are many par 4 and 5’s and the Am tees having lots of birdie and ace possibilities. In addition to the courses in Mason County, the MCDGO also hosts events at these nearby courses: Flip City (Shelby), Whitehall Township DGC, McGraft Park (Muskegon) and Branstrom Park (Fremont). All the courses in Mason County are mowed and groomed by the dedicated members of the MCDGO. So now you know what Ludington has to offer for disc golf you should get here and play!!!UPCOMING EVENTS:MDGO State ChampionshipNewest Page Updates:Spring League 2008 StandingsSpecial Events Summer 2008Spring/Summer League Schedule |
